Caffeine

The active substance in Apollo Energy Gum is caffeine. The caffeine in Apollo comes from green unroasted coffee beans and has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system.
Xylitol

Xylitol is the active substance of birch sugar. Nowadays it is not only extracted from birch trees, but also from the remains of corn cobs. The sweetening power is comparable to that of ordinary sugar but produces 40% fewer calories. Xylitol is recommended by the NVWA (Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority) as a remedy against tooth decay.
Gum base

The base of chewing gum is rubber. There are two types: natural and synthetic rubber. The gum base in Apollo Energy Gum is a combination of both. The gum base is melted at high temperatures (+/- 115 degrees Celsius) to give the gum its toughness.
Maltitol

One of the natural sweeteners in Apollo Energy Gum is maltitol. Maltitol is a sugar alcohol used as an artificial sweetener. It is 0.9 times sweeter than regular sugar. The most common way to make maltitol is to extract it from maltose, which is derived from wheat or corn (gluten-free).
Spearmint

Spearmint is full of antioxidants and has an anti-bacterial effect. It has a positive effect on the immune system and digestion. Not unimportantly, mint also ensures fresh breath.
Vitamins B

Niacin (B3) is important for the energy supply of the body and the production of fatty acids. Vitamin B6 is a very important vitamin involved in resistance and digestion. It also plays a role in the formation of red blood cells. Vitamin B12 is needed for the production of red blood cells and necessary for a proper functioning of the nervous system.
Vitamine E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant. It protects cells, blood vessels, organs, eyes and tissue. It also plays a role in regulating the metabolism in the cell. Also, Vitamin E ensures that the gum maintains its freshness.
